The Fabulous Thunderbirds - Roll of the Dice (1995)

This album was made when Jimmy Vaughan has left the band to join his brother Stevie Ray. However, Roll of the Dice is still a hunky-dory one. "Too Many Irons in the Fire" sounds like a slower version of Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music", "Here Comes the Night" recalls a young Van Morrison and Them, "Mean Love" has a driving harmonica to lift up the blues, "Lookin' Forward to Lookin' Back" is an electrifying swamp blues number, and on "Do as I Say", the band shook it with good old rockabilly.
