Roger McGuinn - Back from Rio (1990)

Like The Band's Robbie Robertson's solo album which was released in the late 80s, ex Byrd's Roger McGuinn's was supported by former bandmates and well-known admirers. Ex Byrds David Crosby and Chris Hillman sang backing vocals on some tracks, Elvis Costello co-wrote "You Bowed Down", Dave Stewart of Eurythmics co-wrote "Your Love Is a Gold Mine", and Tom Petty co-wrote and traded vocal with McGuinn on "King of the Hill", the best song of the list. The album is rhythmically rich by McGuinn's Rickenbacker 12-string guitar. A
