Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever (1989)
Produced by fellow Traveling Wilburys bandmate Jeff Lynne who specialized in acoustic rock after the Wilburys project, Tom Petty's first solo album Full Moon Fever brought him to his peak. "I Won't Back Down" gained new fan base for him while "The Apartment Song" is very much in the same vein as The Traveling Wilburys tracks. "Yer So Bad" romanticizes the swinger life and pokes fun to the yuppy. "Alright for Now" is his Dylanesque ballad that is a feature in all his roots-rock albums. With Full Moon Fever, Petty came close to Springsteen in the 80s. A
