The Jam - Setting Sons (1979)

This is another great album by The Jam after All Mod Cons. On Setting Son, many songs were brilliantly penned by Paul Weller on the topics of British armies and wars, as heard on invigorating numbers like "Private Hell", "Little Boy Soldiers", "Burning Sky" and "The Eton Rifles". Bassist Bruce Foxton contributed a nice ballad, "Smithers-Jones", with string arrangements. This album paved the way for The Jam's future albums and singles that went straight to the peak of the U.K. chart. A
