Steve Earle - Jerusalem (2002)

Jerusalem was made after the September 11, 2001 WTC attack. The album starts with the electronic crash sound of "Ashes to Ashes" and proceeds with political songs. The two outstanding tracks are "John Walker Blues", about the tale of American Taliban John Walker Lindh, and "Jerusalem" which is Steve Earle's own "The Promised Land" as the harmonica intro and the mumbling vocal reminices Springsteen's. "I Remember You" features a duet with Emmylou Harris and "Go Amanda" was co-written with Sheryl Crow. B
