Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley (1970)

As usual and as a great music interpreter, Rod Stewart's second album has a few prominent covers - the Stones-version of "It's All Over Now", Bob Dylan's "Only a Hobo" and Elton John's "Country Comfort". However, admirably, the best moment comes during his own compositions, the pair of dust-bowl, old-timey ballads "Lady Day" and "Jo's Lament", which shows his distinction as a folk singer. B
