Brian Setzer - Nitro Burnin Funny Daddy (2003)

Brian Setzer's rockabilly sounds heavier here than before. Two higher-gain rockabilly numbers, "Sixty Years" and "Don't Trust a Woman (in a Black Cadillac)", sounds invigorating and the followup is a striking banjo intro that soon rocks with "When the Bells Don't Chime". Songs then get a bit dull till "Wild Wind" that reminisces the Yardbirds-era psychedelia. At the end, Setzer repeats the banjo mix that makes the whole album overally enjoyable. B
