Billy Bragg - Don't Try This at Home (1991)
On this album, Billy Bragg assembled a full band to record his urban folk songs. Many famous contributors here, among them were Johnny Marr of The Smiths that decorated his ringing intro on "Cindy of a Thousand Wars" and Peter Buck of R.E.M. that played mandolin on the rueful "Everywhere". Many political concerns were brought up here, among them anti-fascism on "Acident Waiting to Happen", English sentiment on "The Few" and war-wearying on "Rumours of War". A
