Lynyrd Skynyrd - Street Survivors (1977)

Without triple-guitar attack and blazing hard rock sound, this final album of the band's classic lineup shows the band's maturity in songwriting and performing, especially on the hummable, southern-style ballad "I Never Dreamed" and its groovy guitar solo, as well as their infectious version of "Honky Tonk Night Time Man". Unfortunately, three days after the album was released, a chartered-flight accident killed singer Ronnie Van Zandt and new promising guitarist Steve Gaines and ended this phenomenal phase of the band's long career. A
